5 Tips for getting Summer ready

It’s getting warmer and the days are longer. Summer is clearly upon us. Even if this doesn’t come as a surprise, its amazing how quickly we arrived again in the hottest time of the year.

Therefore we’ve prepared five tips, which will help you getting ready for Summer.

Highlighter

1. Let the Summer into your life. Think about using highlighters or sticky notes in bright, summery colours. Buy yourself some flowers for your home or your desk and think about other small details that will put you into a good mood. The more often you are confronted with Summer factors, the faster you will subconsciously adjust to Summer. You can also think about some fun Summer activities you’d like to do with your family or friends.

desk fan

2. The temperatures are getting higher and you are sitting in your warm office. That’s a situation we often find ourselves in. You try everything to cool yourself down. But this year you are prepared. Get yourself a desk fan. This really is a lifesaver in Summer times. No more unnecessary sweating in the office but instead a nice breeze of fresh air. That’s all we want!

water

3. An important fact, not only in preparation for Summer, but especially during the Summer is to drink enough. You need to stay hydrated the whole day so you are able to work properly. It’s best to get used to having a bottle of water at your workplace, so you’ll always have something to drink and be reminded to stay hydrated at the same time. If regular water gets too boring at some point, consider spicing it up with some lemon or other fruits.

planner

4. Another aspect you can keep an eye on is your organization. Structure your work day well, so you have more free time at the end of the day. Think of some nice places, where you can go during your lunch breaks to enjoy good weather, so you don’t end up spending your breaks sitting in your normal work space. If you work together closely with other colleagues or you even have overlapping tasks you work on together, make sure that if one of you is gone on holiday, the other is able to continue working on everything properly. It’s all a matter of the right organization, and if you follow it, you’ll have less stress in the Summer. If you tend to be too chaotic, think of getting a planner or calendar for a better overview.

5. You are planning to go on holiday? That’s amazing. But don’t forget to plan and check everything in time. You don’t want to realize that there is a problem with your documents one day before your holiday is due to start. For that prepare a `To Do‘ and a `Packing List´, so you don’t forget anything important. Check all your documents and passports for validity in good time. Then nothing should stand in the way of a nice holiday.

We hope that our tips could be helpful for some of you and will put you into a Summer mood. Finally, we can give you the best advice: Enjoy the Summer to the fullest!
