SUMMER TIME 2021

Summer is finally here and we all know that the weather is better in Summer than in other times of the year. The weather offers so many options, which is probably why most people go on holiday in Summer. You can go to the beach or lakes, take a leisurely stroll and much more.

Unfortunately, the pandemic has put many restrictions in place.

There is a mask requirement in most places. Restaurants and bars are open for outdoor service. Indoor service will resume on Monday 26th July, but only for those who are completely vaccinated. Foreign travel will be also restarted on 19th July for non essential purposes, so foreign holidays are now possible again.

It is important to keep a cool head in such warm weather.

Drink enough and don´t overwork when the temperatures are this high.

Here are a few useful tips for dealing with the Summer heat:

- Open the windows in the morning

- Organize a fan for your office

- Keep water and other cool drinks in the refrigerator.

- Drink regularly!

- Use sun protection while taking a break yourself outside. This prevents sunburn.

Not only in the office, but also outside, you should adapt to the warm weather. Always wear a hat to avoid getting sunburn or sunstroke. This happens quickly and causes circulatory problems and nausea. You should also regularly apply sunscreen to avoid sunburn. However, in the office, it is important to drink enough and not to overexert yourself.

Ultimately, however, you should focus on the beautiful things in Summer. Even if you can't travel far, there are beautiful places in Ireland. Among other things, the many varied beaches around the island, the Cliffs of Moher, Slieve League or Blarney Castle. These are all attractive sights which are easily accessible. Summer offers so many opportunities even in the current Covid situation. We should all just make the best of it. Next year, the situation will definitely be more relaxed!

Have a great Summer and Happy Holidays!
